The Black Keys: Ohio Players
Doing what they do so well …
@JulianG thanks for the tip on the upcoming album. If you haven’t already, check out The Wailin’ Jennys, which she is a member of. Nice harmonies.
br,
patk
Ah, thanks @patk I didn’t know that. I was aware of her limited but wonderful collaborations with Mark Knopfler (from some of his solo albums in the last decade) but will dig something from that catalogue to put on my ‘queue’ for listening over the weekend.
Cheers

Enjoying…
Ruth Moody | ‘These Wilder Things’
Finishing up this evening with this more recent release (first listen for me) from 2013.
More country/bluesy in style but sounding sublime.
Nice cover of ‘Dancing in the Dark’.
Title track is stand out for me - so poignant, pure and delicate - just draws you into Ruth’s beautiful voice and words.

A recommendation from @Steve_S for a folk album was intriguing enough to give this a try. Sounds wonderful on the Sennheisers. Should be in bed really, but hey, you have to keep on keeping on. Barr Brothers - self titled.
One more. Sunforest - Sound of Sunforest. Just for Magician in the Mountain.
The new Vampire Weekend - currently streaming - might invest in the Vinyl if I like it enough
I can only imagine what her worst album must be like
