Wonderful album, no collection should be without a copy.
Played and posted this a few days ago, but was unhappy with the sound from my old Island Masters CD. This is the 2004 remaster - jury’s out but so far so good.
Primal Scream - Screamadelica - CD (1991)
Happy Birthday Andrew Innes - 16/05/62
Andrew Innes from Scottish rock band Primal Scream who had the 1994 UK No.7 single ‘Rocks’ and the 1991 UK No.8 album Screamadelica.
Seem to be playing a fair few compilations at the moment. This double CD effort is an absolute belter. Uniti Core.

Anouar Brahem - The Astounding Eyes of Rita
Anouar Brahem (Oud), Klaus Gesing (Bass Clarinet), Björn Meyer (Bass) and Khaled Yassine (Darbouka, Bendir).
Streamed on Qobuz (44.1/24)… returning home from morning coffee with friends and kicking off this Thursday morning with ‘The Astounding Eyes of Rita’ from Anouar Brahem and his quartet and they are sounding sublime! One beautiful album…
I agree and going further comparing the 2004 CD with the Hi Res download - the Hi Res is amazing and beats the CD by miles.
Also, the Hi Res of Pink Moon is far far better than the CD.
But the CD version of Five Leaves Left is marginally better than the Hi Res.
Can’t remember if you are into Hi Res downloads?
Diamanda Galás - Diamanda Galás
The first track Panoptikon is 15 minutes of the most astonishing music/vocals.
This a masterpiece.
Following a recommendation by @Tabbycat, I am thoroughly enjoying this:
Nice one TC!
And something I’ve never seen before on my CDX’s display. Track numbers with decimal points!
1
1.02
1.03
2
2.02
2.03
etc
I dabble, but only have a small laptop to load them to. It’s a bit of a faff.

Charles Lloyd & The Marvels + Lucinda Williams - Vanished Gardens
Charles Lloyd (tenor saxophone, flute), Bill Frisell (guitars), Greg Leisz (pedal steel guitar, dobro), Reuben Rogers (bass), Eric Harland (drums) and Lucinda Williams (vocals).
Streaming on Qobuz (96/24)… continuing on this morning with Charles Lloyd and The Marvels and they are sounding absolutely sublime! The opening track of this album ‘Defiant’ is outstanding with the magnificent interplay between the musicians. This is one sweet album with Lucinda providing vocals on a number of tracks.
An absolute classic.
The Beautiful South - blue is the colour
