This is a fantastic album from a great singer. It is also one of the best sounding albums in my collection.

Peter Gabriel scored his second solo UK No.1 album on this day 31/05/86 with ‘So’ featuring the singles ‘Sledgehammer’ and a duet with Kate Bush’Don’t Give Up’. The song was inspired by the Depression-era photographs of Dorothea Lange, showing poverty-stricken Americans in Dust Bowl conditions.
My system has not been in full use for a few days due to having work done on the room windows, so this is a very good excuse to give this a spin.
