@Steve_S It only arrived this morning and only had the time to play both sides once.

I am a very big fan of RH so could be a little biased however, on first listen this is Richard at his very best.

It is a return to the smooth string- laden sound of both Cole’s Corner and Trueloves Gutter. There is a variety of styles but it has his classic sweep of strings, acoustic guitars, melancholy song writing around his love for Sheffield.

It’s also fantastically produced and no problems with the vinyl.

I also think this is a very fine album, up there with his best. My favourite is Truelove’s Gutter. This morning I had fun on Qobuz in compiling a B Sides playlist from all the singles there and it includes some wonderful stuff.
