What are you listening to in 2024 and why might anyone be interested?

Terre Roche’s vocals on the title track of the Fripp album Exposure are phenomenal - a complete melt down performance. E-X-P-O-S-U-R-E.

I’ll look it up, ta :+1:t3:

Passenger, All the little lights. I don’t have the original album, unfortunately, and secondhand prices are mad. However, this is a great re-recording with some fab guest artists. If you haven’t heard Passenger, then this, or the original recording, are great places to start. My eldest has given me tickets to see him at the Apollo Manchester (one of my favourite venues) in July. I can’t wait!

This, Dionysus by Dead Can Dance, is apparently a diptych made up of 7 acts! Whatever, it’s a beautifully recorded album of earthy music which will show off the system whilst doing what it’s meant to do, enthrall the listener.

Steve Hoffman remaster 1993. The best CD version I’ve heard.

A close call between this and Peter Gabriel 1 as the best Peter Gabriel album.

This one nails it - Peter Gabriel 2

Superb drumming from Jerry Marotta

Waterfront - Simple Minds - 1983

Recently became a fan of this. Piped across the land the year I started Uni, loathed it then for some bizarre reason?

How is the 250 DR sounding and were is it sitting ?
I had a CB 250 around 1988…very nice amp…used to love the transient slam with my Linn Kans
Not heard a 250 DR so no opinion

I certainly do, but I always assumed it was a budget label, releasing covers and soundalikes. Just goes to show. Would never have figured Joe Jackson.
