What are you listening to in 2024 and why might anyone be interested?

It has for sure been played here @Marq but you will have to look very far back! Good album I might dig it out again.

An interesting No-Man’s release plus a RSD 2018 SW release signed by the kind Mr.Wilson himself .

Just wonderful album………in those days an obvious guitar solo did not happen. Perhaps Mike Shrieve guided them then, but Santana 4 was disappointing to me.
But the early albums are my favourites.

Linda Perry - In Flight

One of the great rock voices and a very good songwriter. This her first solo album was followed by the difficult to find After Hours album.

Now she is songwriter for the stars.

This is one piece for our concert on 12 July at Gloucester Cathedral as part of the Cheltenham Music Festival. This year is the 150th Anniversary of Holst’s birth. The Liverpool Philharmonic will be there. The choir is formed from many local choir members who forsake the summer holiday rest.

Please consider coming as I’m sure it will be great to listen just as we will enjoy the opportunity to sing in a wonderful setting.

Sounding fantastic on Vinyl. The recording and mastering are off the scale…sheer class

I absolutely adore No Man’s Land on that album! Everything else is pretty stellar too

I do enjoy this one: The Brecker Brothers Band Reunion.

This album comes with the DVD of the concert at the Blue Note in NY with musicians such as Mike Stern and Dave Weckl. It’s really nice and engaging. Highly recommended.

My end of the day is also The Pineapple Thief:

It’s the album that I first heard from them and absolutely love it still, albeit it feels a bit out of place in their catalogue somehow, due to how busy some of the songs feel.

Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes - Wake Up Everbody

Classic McFadden and Whitehead songwriting with Gamble and Huff production.

An essential album to have in the collection.

Bethlehem Records cashing in on Simone, McRae & Chris Connor when originally released. Sits nicely with Simone’s brilliant debut. Chris Connor was unknown to me before buying this CD. She’s good. Uniti Core.

Hi @Blacknote Thanks for the BBB Reunion CD recommendation (and the Adam Hawley one), I will check them both out. By the Way, Jeff Lorber has a new release out in August - I enjoyed the 2 tracks I have heard from it.
