Just bought my ticket to see Hans Zimmer v John Williams in the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow.
Can’t wait, I saw this concert last year and it was outstanding.
Playing this brings back memories of last years concert.

Solution - self titled (1971). Dutch prog/fusion outfit. Their sax player, Tom Barlage, wrote the tune Tommy, which forms part of the Focus track Eruption (on Moving Waves), and of which, if I recall correctly, @AndyP is an admirer.

Classic early folk rock, a rock solid rhythm section behind the stunning violin of Swarbrick and guitar of Thompson, trad arr and self penned numbers, a classic of the genre even though Sandy had left.
