What are you listening to in 2025 and why might anyone be interested?

on Japanese SHMCD - stunning sound quality - knocks the normal CD out of the park. You can really hear what everyone is doing.
The band playing was a reunion of the ‘Angel’s Egg / You’ era.
The recordings are taken from the concert, but not the whole concert.

Listening to this whilst waiting for Sainsbury’s.
Heard her talking about it on Graham Norton last week and gave it a listen. Thought I’d give it another listen this morning and am still surprised by the quality of an album by her. Who knew she had this in her…:man_shrugging:t2:

The last two albums by Jake Xerxes Fussell have really won me over and he was excellent last Monday in Chester. That’s made me realise there is earlier stuff to discover and I’ve been playing the first two albums a fair few times on repeat this past week plus Copper Kettle.

Also gone back to this extraordinary Bill Fay album in light of the reports on his passing.

Not as easy to listen to as The Colour of Spring or Spirit of Eden but enjoyable all the same.

Mike Mareen - Love Spy

Working through some early house and Italo Disco… no way to do that and miss out Love Spy. Great clubbing memories and takes me right back to being 18 again.
