Greetings from Vinon-sur-Verdon.
probably sacrilege but i had the alcohol free version of this (!!!) and tbh it was quite nice…but i cant wait until February!
Lovely brew.
I’m a fan of the Dark Drake, too, though we generally only see it as part of a festival line-up hereabouts.
Friday night at The Bandstand. Dark Munro, Landlord and Summer in Winter, all on top form.
Cheers,
Ian

Love Jaipur. Just popped in to the Brunswick in Lewes. Jaipur is a guest beer
Pump clip just visible
Not quite the same as drinking it at the brewery, but still a lovely beer! As can be seen, the glass has the old logo from many years ago…
Cheeky late arvo pint of Sharp’s Sea Fury - a long way from home - nutty, malty with a hint of caramel. Yum
I found this on the ‘too good to waste’ reduced shelf in our local Co-op. I’m not a great one from brown ales, but this is very nice and it’s pretty local too, being brewed in Pulborough, West Sussex.
I remember I enjoyed an excellent afternoon at the brewery and pub, a good number of years ago now. I must go back there one of these days!
The other day I bought a couple of cans of this, Vibrant Forest’s Kaleidoscope, from the local Co-op. It was reduced from £4 to £2.10 and is a really lovely IPA, with fantastic citrus flavours and a bitter hoppy aftertaste.
I went round to the Co-op earlier and looked on the cheap shelf to see if they had any more, not expecting to find any. But they did, and even better it was reduced further, to 50p a can! So I now have 12. I do love a bargain.
I do hate being dragged around the supermarket by my wife, but your discovery would be my joyful experience.
Mrs HH does the shopping in this house, she doesn’t like me to go along as I buy expensive stuff, which is all too easy in Waitrose. The local Co-op is about seven minutes walk away and it’s really nice, with the post office too. And bargain beer!
