5.7%. This is rather nice.
Having a pint of draft Bass on gravity at the Dolphin Inn in Plymouth. Apparently Francis Drake used to drink here in the 1580’s!
Up in the Lakes for a week…after a few hours outdoors, time for some dizzy blond and Cumbria Way…and crisps…
I’m partial to a pint of ale; then again I like a good Guinness. Here the latter is summed up by an exile.
An excellent selection in The Bandstand on this Wednesday. Two pints of the dark, malty, Wilder Ness have been a delicious midweek treat.
Cheers,
Ian
That reminds me, the Tap Room is open tonight (Thursday)
The Drunken Duck…enjoying a pint of Catnap
and superb fish n’ chips
Schneider Weiße ‚Aventinus Eisbock‘.
Malty and sweet. Children would love it! I like it too.
A mighty 12% drowned in sweetness.
Tripel Karmeliet (Bosteels Brewery)
Tastes fruity, a bit like citrus fruits. A very round, actually perfect triple.
Only beer…no whiskey around?
There is also a whisky thread to be found on the forum, also in the Lounge
I was down at the pub tonight, helping to streamline the beer list for our forthcoming beer festival. This year’s theme will be ‘Scotland by region’ and we should have plenty of beers making their debut to look forward to.
This is a local ale and packed full of flavour; a perfect morale boost on a damp evening.
Cheers,
Ian
My first beer (or any drink for that matter) in over 2 weeks thought I’d start with something light and see if my taste buds are still working
You clear now Pete obviously??
Yep negative this morning thankfully. Meant to have lunch with the cattlemen association tomorrow but canceled it just in case. Was with them the weekend I caught the damn thing.
