Goodness me - double that as have 2 systems in either place
That’s a lot of beers

You’ve got it, don’t such a tight wad.
Harry asked me today if I’d ever read the manuals, I don’t need too I’ve got him.
Ha ha same with me
Yes, both and I really like them. They really open up the sound and micro dynamics and lower the noise floor. Worth looking out for second hand. There is a 5m pair of SL speaker cables on TM - same guy selling the 300 DR is want either/both
Poor guy. He’s probably subtly suggesting you don’t need him to drive 2 hours to shake your Burndy…but is too polite……
No no no, I would never let him do that (although he has offered) we were talking about remotes.
And it’s 4 1/2 hours from Sydney.
I wouldn’t have a clue on one end of a cable goes where and where the other end goes
Harry drops in on his way to and from home to help out an ageing kiwi
He loves it - I think
Unfortunately, the speakers will remain in their travelling crates for another six weeks.
Patience…
As a small consolation, I will open the box containing the MPODs and the assembly tools.
Can’t wait for the big reveal Thomas What size is the room going to be when finished? It looks smaller than I anticipated, though - given the impossibly high bar you are setting elsewhere - I had privately imagined some enormous room with floor-to-ceiling plate glass windows allowing panoramic views of the Alps
You tease, you.
Yes, the room is small.
In total there are 38 m2.
The listening area is not strictly speaking, a room. The dividing wall will not be a real wall. It will only be a structure filled with absorption materiel.
For frequencies above 150 Hz the room will be 22 m2, and for frequencies below it will be 38 m2.
The listening area itself will only be 22 m2.
But what counts is the acoustics; from this point of view, the room is 38 m2.
It’s an idea I stole from photos of mastering studios: building a dividing wall without actually building it. Clever!
I had planned to buy a house last year, and there I had planned a listening room suitable for a pair of Magico M9s. But the deal didn’t go through.
It’s not sufficient to be able to buy the house. The seller has to sell… and yes I would have had a clear view of the Alps!
I feel your pain - imagine having to ‘settle’ for a pair of M2’s
They’re actually the predecessor (MFS) with the titanium tweeter, as opposed to the current XLS which has a Sonomex dome tweeter. They certainly seem to be enjoying themselves!
The Magico M2 is my very limit.
I’m lucky I could order them before the recent price rise. They now cost ~95’000 euros and even more in some European countries!
I’ve got the pair with the later tweeter
They certainly do it for me with 252/SCDR/250 and will be even better with the 300 you have
Cheers

or, maybe, usually both…
MFS ? Awesome speakers, capable of filling a decent sized room with ease and a great match with NAP300. So good I cant bring myself to part with mine, in the hope I find a suitable space for them in the future.
Hi Thomas,
I like the ceiling cushions. What is the manufacturer for this parts?
