I’ve no issues either, it stays cool driving a poweramp.
Ex demo, I may (if I downsize to a flat or ground floor maisonette ) split the system so I have a headphone system for night and a more basic system for daytime/TV using the same speakers but different amplification.
Just in time for the weekend too. Enjoy your new KDSM.
PS - I’d recommend investing in a small car detailing brush for keeping the ‘record grooves’ and top face crevices dust and debris free.
Thanks James
Good idea
Dynavector XX-2A
Just back from dealer after having above fitted… Thanks Mick of AcousticStreams in the depths of Cornwall.
The boss said I’m not allowed to play anything till I have stripped and cleaned the Fraim. All done so just spinning first record (Eric Clapton - Unplugged) oooohhhh this is good very good. Got a feeling it’s going to be a long session this evening.
Are you running it through your 552?
Yes. No desire for digital preamp, never sounded right to me. Same again this time round, heard it straight into klimax twins and kudos 707s first. Would never have bought it had i not heard it a/b against my own ds in same configuration. It is already sounding fabulous.
I received a Network Acoustics eno2 System today.
It consists of a 1.5m streaming cable, a passive filter and a 0.75m streaming cable.
I installed it between my network switch and my NDX 2/XPS DR network music player.
It requires 200hrs of break-in.
Looks a nice bit of kit, but not suitable for my set up, based on their description.
Features
- Streaming sounds better at 1Gb/s: The eno2 1Gb/s Ethernet Filter and Streaming Cables are meticulously designed to maximize the benefits of streaming over a 1Gb/s network connection. Comparing listening to a 100Mb/s connection versus a 1Gb/s connection, our critical listening tests repeatedly demonstrated that a 1Gb/s connection significantly enhances sound quality.
DG…
Welcome to the club - fantastic speaker. Very nice finish - ist it maple?
No - ist the new one … liquid amber
This one is on my list…
Please tell how it performs!
Indeed, I believe Linn, like Naim and other brands, use 100MB Ethernet by choice on their streamers. Naim have certainly said in the past that they do this for optimal sound quality.
I wonder if Network Acoustics GB ports will auto negotiate to 100MB like most regular Ethernet ports do - otherwise an awful lot of potential users are going to be disappointed.
Adding to my Network Acoustics eno2 System post… My internet provider only offers 100Mbps download speeds, and I believe my switch (Cisco Catalyst 2960) is also limited to 100Mbps. The Network Acoustics eno2 System is working fine in my set-up. It will be two or three weeks until the system is burnt-in, and I can properly assess it.
“Why is a 1Gb/s network connection better for streaming?”

I bought the Naim uniti nova PE. And I’m very happy with it. I also ordered the Naim cd 5si several weeks ago. But as it won’t be available until 2025, I cancelled my order and bought the Cyrus audio cd i. I’m waiting for it to be delivered this morning.
@drago, early days yet but I am totaly delighted with the XX-2A. I took a flier on it as my dealer had not heard one but as he pointed out DV don’t bring something new out that often and whenthey do it just seems to work.
I had a 20X2 before… admitted it was probably past it’s prime but this is just in another league.
I think the biggest difference I notice is drums, snare drum is so sharp now and the bass drum is so clear without dominating. Female and male vocals are crystal clear. Piano to die for.
Listening to Fleetwood Mac - Rumours at the moment… it’s like I have never heard this album before.
For the money this has got to be one of the best value upgrades I have ever purchased.
It works beautifully with Ekos arm and not surprisingly the DV P75 MK4 phono.
So Drago I would put this at the top of your list, I’m sure it won’t disapoint.
My new NGKDSM auto negotiated to 1gb but I have reduced it to 100 mbps FDX in unifi settings. The previous kdsm I think ran at 100.
Thanks a lot ![]()
