Tried it in my office system for a few days. Swapped in and out a few times, but to be honest, found that it made no difference whatsoever.
Other posters have reported beneficial results, but with my set up, nothing. So has been sent back.

As ASIO is a packet based protocol anyway I’m not surprised. A decent USB cable with a couple ferrite chokes at each is probably going to do more. I expect common mode noise is going to be a bigger problem if your source is a computer.
When it comes to USB and network cables and regen gizmos, the benefit is really dependant on what measures the two connected endpoints haven’t taken and the environmental problems of a given setup. I think it’s very hard for the end user to know what problems actually exists and what solutions are required. Luckily there’s a lot second hand bits floating around to try. It is time consuming though. People love to have the most incredible arguments in some of the threads but the reality is, it’s a bit like testing out prescriptions drugs without even having a diagnosis. Sure the uric acid medication made you feel so much better if you had gout, but it was snake oil to everyone who had a chesty cough. ![]()
@Dan_M very nice pair of Scalas on the bay at the moment…have you strengthened your floor yet??? ![]()
Mate, do you realky think I can strengthen my floor while I am having Chemo? ![]()
Sorry buddy, I was not thinking…just thought of you when I saw them. Hope you are doing ok/as well as can be expected ![]()
The ones from acoustica? Yes they are stunning. I don’t need to strengthen my floor for speakers. It would be for LP12.
The Scalas are beautiful. Not sure I can spend the money though. But it’s possible.
I have the funds, but not sure about spending it right now with limited ability to work with treatments!
Ah, I did not realise that. I thought it was for the weight of the speakers. You had already seen them by the sounds of it. I think we are kindred spirits in terms of always searching ebay for hifi! Joking aside, I hope you are doing ok and sorry again, I didn’t mean to be insensitive.
You’re not being insensitive at all. You are full of enthusiasm and positivity!
Not sure now is the time to spend big money on hifi upgrades!
But they are rather lovely and a good deal. I am sure they would take my Sopra 2s as part ex. But I like what I have. Sometimes you have to say to yourself enough is enough.
Good stuff, and yes I agree. I’ve made a lot of changes (a bit of an understatement) as you know and I’m now focused on enjoying what I have. At the moment I am wondering if I actually need the 350s; but I’ll go ahead to future proof things and finally be done! I do wonder who purchased that D3 switch though!!! ![]()
Spot on. I came to the same conclusion over the Vertere MG-1 that’s on the bay at the moment. A bought a Farad super 3 instead as consolation… ![]()
The Farad Super 3 power supply is very good and versatile. Have used it on Limetree and EE8.
You will be sble to make use of it as kit changes.
The guy I bought my 300DR from had the Vertere RG-1 and he was very kind enough to let me have a listen. It was hooked up to a 552/500DR and Harbeth speakers and I have to say, it was like nothing I have EVER heard before. From memory he played a Pink Floyd track on it and, to avoid a cliche, it was LITERALLY like they were in the room. Except that they were playing in a circle and I was sat in the middle. Truly AMAZEBALLS!!!
The RG-1is the ‘Statement’ of record players……
If your floorboards are so delapidated that they can’t support the weight of a large pair of speakers, they certainly can’t support the weight of one person and your house should be condemned as unsafe for human habitation ![]()
Is this a prop in a 007 movie?
Someone mentioned the “‘Statement’ of record players.” This is the Clearaudio Statement. I’ve never seen one but they do exist in the wild.
One of my local dealers has one on display (or at least they did last time I was there). It really is a “statement” piece. There is a video of a Youtuber doing a tour of the shop, I’d post a link but I’m not sure that’s allowed.
Saw something similar a few years back in the window of a HiFi store, if memory serves me correctly price was just over £140k. It was very impressive.
The Clearaudio Statement V2 is about $300k with the TT-1 linear arm and Goldfinger cartridge.
