What was the last bit of gear you bought in 2025?

Add an nDAC, ( to the ND5 XS2 ). That will solve things.

Beryllium,.arrived today
Thursday 31/1.

The idea with this connector is,.that it will replace the original connector on Puritan’s best Ultimate powercable, which is delivered as an upgrade together with Puritan 156.

Many have said,.that it doesn’t hurt to change to a better connector on the original powercable.

Why should we?

It’s a beautifully made component & mine has performed faultlessly for 3 months short of 6 years.

I installed a larger capacity SSD in mine in the middle of last year & the process couldn’t have have been easier, using my backup made with the Naim Android app. Please make sure you keep a backup disk, you never know what may happen.

The only two common complaints are that the functionality is more limited than it could be, although it does all I require. Secondly, it isn’t cheap for what it is. Don’t really know what to say here other than “quality rarely is”.

I changed to a Furutech Rhodium C19 on my Puritan Ultimate. Well worth it :+1:

These are excellent and one of the most underrated Naim products.

Agree Mike - love my Core

By the way - now have the NC’s

333/332/250

Just installed this week down in place out of Sydney, couldn’t stay this week but back there in couple of weeks for long weekend, can’t wait . Brief listen with Harry , sounded nice and open , good solid bass, love the look, modern but not overstated

Good thing is no additional boxes ( replaced 252/SCDR/250DR), staying away from the PS’s

I love mine as well. :+1:

Nice one Bevan, congratulations. A big change there from your much loved 252/250 set up, it will be a nice modern replacement. I do like the idea of running them without the additional power supplies for a more discrete, but high performing set up.

Please keep us posted on how it performs.

Wiim Ultra, very nice but the Function is a disaster like the wiim pro+ radio station, every second radio station doesn’t work, app control is much worse than with bluesound, it’s a shame

@Mike_S

What made the move to the NC’s for me was the performance of the NSS 333 - I was using it for a few weeks here in Sydney with the little Nait 50 - couldn’t quite believe it I must say

The 332 gets very good reviews as does the 250

Can’t wait to hear the LP12 40th through this new gear

Now to streamline the gear I have here in Sydney - that’s a bit more difficult albeit the SN3/HICAPDR has left the building as they say

Gotta say I find the app excellent and have no problems with the radio stations. Great piece of kit imo.

Hands down the best bit of kit I’ve purchased in a very long time… Built like a tank, timeless in its sleek good looks and does exactly what it says on the tin! Enjoy

Then you haven’t had Bluesound yet, it’s faster, without the app being open, you can even control the volume with your cell phone locked. And is more Musical

Ah, OK.

The app is much simpler and you don’t have to wait 2 seconds to change channels
