Just opened up my SECOND brand new ndx2 … Inside the box, the plug leads have been chucked in (no separate box to protect anything from getting damaged by the metal 3 pin uk plug!) JUST GOD AWFUL QC!! However, surely the ndx2 will be fine, i thought to myself!
How wrong I was… Ignoring the fingerprints this brand new ndx2 has all over it, it has a bloody chip in the paint work!!
Naim, your QC is appalling, and at this point, you will NEVER see another penny of my money!! What a complete waste of my time this has been!

I’ve just got off the phone with the reseller i purchased it from… (This isn’t on them in the slightest, obviously)… They’re very apologetic and have kindly offered me a number of resolutions going forward…
I’ll have a think about my next move over the next couple of days, but im done with naim! This isn’t the first new product I’ve had an issue with, unfortunately

Purchased from one of the largest retailers in the uk… They’ve been fantastic… I’m just so disappointed with naim… I never had this problem with Naim back in the 90s

Disappointing as my kit 222/300/250 doesn’t have a mark on them.
You should send Naim the pictures otherwise they don’t know the issues, contacting the people you bought the kit from is the right way but keeping Naim in the loop wouldn’t go amiss.
One other thing, is the kit definitely new, its not ex-demo or anything like that?
That can not be a NIB item. It’s been opened and sealed again. The plugs are always in a separate box section and wrapped in OC boxes.

I completely agree that the first ndx2 i sent back had the plug in a separate box… All my Naim equipment has come with plugs in a separate box… But no, this hasn’t been opened and resealed. Nothing of the sort… You can see from the pics i posted a while back that this is a brand new sealed unit!! This is on Naim… Unfortunately, not for the first time, either!!
Yep brand new, id posted a pic of the sealed box earlier in this thread… This is the second brand new factory sealed ndx2 that ive purchased and had QC issues with!
I’ve plenty of Naim equipment that I’ve had no problems with, but at this point, i dont care. I’m done with this company…
Plenty of other companies that will happily take my money of that im sure

Not good, not good at all. As I recall, OC packaging had a cardboard sleeve that fitted between the foam pieces at the top centre to protect the actual hardware from exactly this transit damage.
For this kind of money, the customer deserves better.

You’re absolutely correct… The cardboard sleeve is still in place, but inside that sleeve should be a rectangular box with the power cord inside. Thus stopping the rather large heavy uk plug from causing damage to everything those three metal pins come in contact with. I guess Naim had run out of cardboard boxes the day this streamer was boxed and shipped, though unfortunately…
