What was the last bit of gear you bought in 2025?

There’s no reason for a power cable to emit RF. 50Hz is so far below the RF band it’s like comparing golf balls to horses. Unless you are using those horrible powerline (not Naim PowerLine) ethernet over mains devices, I would never expect any detectable RF leakage.

Have you tried moving the ER02 alongside the A3 cable to see if the values are changing and if Monsoon behave similar? I have a more simple tool I measure the lead/hot wire with and when I measure on my powerline it makes a sound along the full length of the cable. On the A3 I get noise every 10cm or so and in between it is silence. It might just be down to that Powerline wires are not twisted which A3 is.

Ansuz A3 power cord has been one of the best cable upgrades I’ve made.

Will ckeck. The A3 cable is 3 m long and hidden behind a heavy cupboard :see_no_evil:
But i did now compare the electric field an the beginning and the end, and it drops from over 400 at the beginning to 140 at the end. May be thats the reason why Ansuz recommends very long primary power cords to connect power conditioners to wall outlets.

I am also very happy with the SQ improvement with the A3.

Yes they do (as many other cable manufacturers) claim that the longer the power cord is the better effect. I need more A3 cables…

Awesome. Pics and reports pls!

I am incredibly happy to have upgraded from the Naim Nova to this system. There has really been a change in resolution, depth, dynamics and resolution. My Dynaudio Heritage Specials sounded great before, but this is a step up

Hey @Keano16
What a fantastic system. Low box count, minimal faff and honestly, those Heritage Specials are absolutely stunning speakers - you must be chuffed!!

Congratulations and really happy to hear your thoughts, as I’m in the process of making this same move myself. I have Kudos Super 10s and looking forward to an uplift in “everything”.

Not bought, but evaluating! The luxman pd151a. I’m currently using this with an audionote iq3.
It’s all sounding very good; i’m considering swapping to this t/t instead of the nottingham dais that i use. The main reason being the dais is just so heavy to move about.

Thanks @1GiantLeap and @alan33.

My next purchase will be a new music server. My Innuos Zen MK2 is acting a bit strange and I’m worried about how long it has left. The problem is I don’t know what to buy. Innuos seems to only make overpriced products, but you can only hope for the same price range as the Zenith MK3. Then I’ve been thinking about the Naim Core, but it’s been around for a few years, so I thought it would be better to buy some 2025 products. Hopefully there will be some exciting things in 2025

I have a zen mini mk2 and the board failed
replacing that and putting in a ssd drive was £356
6 month warranty
if you’re essentially happy with yours asking innuos what this might be for your model might be an option

If I had a 200 series setup, I’d go for a NAS run Asset UPnP or MinimServer on it and put the remaining funds towards that NPX 300 you know you want. :grinning:

If you want the simplicity of an all-in-1 server, a Uniti Core wouldn’t be a bad shout, you can install/replace your own hdd/ssd. Bear in mind, no storage is supplied with the new Core. You’ll need to be quick though, Naim are booking/fulfilling last (Core) orders now.

Alternatively, the Innuos Zen Mini IIIS, all ssd storage now up to 4Gb and you can always add the ‘medical grade’ external psu at a later date.

And finally there’s always the NAS/Server App option, good if you’re familiar with LAN technology, networking etc. - not difficult, just needs a bit of familiarity and vocab.

Do you move it that often for it to be an issue? The Dais is certainly a top notch deck, not that the Luxman isn’t, but….

The problem with NAS is that you can hear it

It’s not a must but Uniti Core can’t run Roon, right? So the options are Asset UPnP or MinimServer? Innuos Zen Mini IIIS might be an idea.

My rack is in an alcove, so i break it down about once every three months. I really do like the dais, but it is so awkward to move (the platter alone is 20kg)

I have to say, the luxman is holding its own, it will be interesting when i go back. The one negative point for me is that the arm feels a bit flimsy, but that is in comparison to a dynavector dv507 so maybe not a totally fair fight!

You can’t run any third party software on a Core, you are limited to Naim’s own ripper and UPnP server.

What I like about Uniti Core is the ability to install your own SSD. But I don’t need a CD ripper and it’s been around for a few years now. Can we hope for something new from Naim?
