What was the last bit of gear you bought?

Glad you like them! It’s interesting how great these thin, unassuming ( although very well made) cables are!
Now you need to try some of the interconnects, and digital cables!

Interconnects from Chord, signature tuned array. Will go for Sarum t between Nds and pre in some months.
For Audience, maybe a power cord for my pre.

Maybe it would be wise to compare first?
I use Audience Front Row USB from streamer to Dac, AU24-SX RCA from Dac to amp, and AU24-Se-i power cord from streamer to PLC

Beautiful, my friend liked most of the expensive single driver full range speakers compared to a MBL. He said the MBL is like a designer speakers, looks great but does not sound great for the price.

Funny you should say that because whilst I was researching this amp I read that Harbeths top designer Alan Shaw uses Hegel amps.

For now I have already the Chord and like what they do. A Sarum t would be an upgrade in that crucial leg.
I don’t need digital, I have an Nds to Melco in Ethernet.
I need din to rca , on special order. It’s impossible to try and return.
For power cable, it would be a blind choice, or eventually a try from a site that makes try and return.

So far it started off with a nice smooth warm sound and it has a beautiful sound stage, but bass was a little recessed, after about three hours of playing. The bass slam has really started to kick in.
I believe it’s going to be an awesome combination with 202/200dr

Keep in mind I’m running it with a marantz 5011 that is not even in the same ball park as 202/200dr

Harbeth love loads of power so I understand why :+1:

I wonder how does an alarm clock sound. :joy:

Except me, I don’t know!

How does the MCJ3 sound? The odd and great thing is that it doesn’t! It was like another veil removed in the dance of the seven veils - one step closer to that alluring source. So I guess I can answer this by saying it sounds clean, clear, transparent. Or how it allows the music to sound - real, live, unconstrained. And it doesn’t sound sharp, muffled, tinny, restricting. It’s what I wanted. A link in the chain that didn’t add and didn’t take away and would reveal where the next weak link in the chain is for the next upgrade.

As the chain currently goes Naim Armageddon, Linn LP12, Naim Aro, Audiotechnica OC9-ML/II, MCJ3, Naim 52, (Modified) Naim 250, I think it will be either the LP12 subchassis or the cartridge.
