The consistant quality of music and the recording quality from the 1960s to recently is trully amazing imo .

Does this one count as “legendary status”?

I bought the CD last week Mike and ripped it to my core.Never heard it before but I must say I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the songs and recording. The last track Frozen Love is a stand out, and reputedly that is what Mick Fleetwood heard before approaching Buckingham to join the band. A couple of enjoyable instrumentals too.

I now need to figure out how I can configure my Melco / Minimserver / Naim app to show this as one album but four separate discs within it (probably with the help of a separate thread).

New remaster of the classic Odessey and Oracle from The Zombies in Mono, from newly found tapes. Bit of fun, what is wrong with the front cover of the sleeve.?

Sticky Fingers by the Rolling Stones. I was surprised to find I did not have a copy and was gifted one (thank you).

It takes me back to days of cider and pasties. Parties at the beach with a record player (or cassette player) operated by a 12 volt car battery. Days of freedom.

I use MP3tag and often have to manually set the running order column.

@Nigel1957 I’ll start a new thread on this to avoid clogging things up here. I’ve got it working now.

Think you need to tell us

The answer is the designer of the sleeve Terry Quirk used the wrong spelling for the word Odyssey and incorrectly used Odessey, the band tried to cover it up saying it was how they wanted that way only later to admit that a mistake had been made.

Quirk’s quirk then?

I feel it incumbent upon me to point the finger at Abraham DeLacey Giuseppe Casey Thomas O’Malley (aka our own @Alley_Cat) for pointing me in the direction of some fine “prog”:

All Incoming from Music Magpie.

Nice one, bro!

It’s a good job he got nowhere near The Iliud.

Glad you enjoyed those, it’s simply about promoting smaller outfits we enjoy which others may or may not appreciate.

I’m often struck by how much luck is involved with bands going from local/small following status to making it big.

I’ve not heard them. Which one would you recommend to start with?
