Ha! @patk that is coincidence as I returned home to Hythe today. Sadly I had to leave Raleigh last night and would have loved to have seen Tedeschi Trucks supported by Little Feat at the Red Hat Amphitheater.
@Cat7 another nice haul from the shop that keeps giving.
Very different style than Sakamoto playing. Van Veen elaborates a lot more with a slower pace and liberal use of pedals. Plus Much more atmospheric than Sakamoto’s dry studio solo piano recordings.
Incidentally I am going to attend Sakamoto’s 1996 live at Concertgebouw next year. Sakamoto is dead now but someone is trying to recreate my fave chamber set 1996 live.
The five volumes of this set of Schumann’s piano music on Nimbus, used. Online seller, originally released 1989-90.
Charity shop hopping yesterday. Taylor Swift CD has seen better days, and the Mumford box must have been stood on, a few times ![]()
Fair enough
The Monkees Super Deluxe, Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd super deluxe 4 cds and a 7 inch single a a few odds and sods should be interesting.
I imagine they meant to stamp on the James Blunt one!![]()

Saw the recently released Indiscreet/Big Beat combo, felt inspired to add 3 more from the magnificent Sparks.
@surreySteve. Really miss my pal Dinky a great pal and drummer. Gone but never forgotten
I’ve added these Herb albums to my collection. Pure nostalgia for me because we listened to them endlessly when we were kids. A bit cheesy, but so much fun!
crikey what a sad story RIP
Martin
Indeed, such a waste of a great bloke and a great talent. I really miss him.
