Just Bought a 1965 CBS, UK Stereo pressing of Kind of Blue for £16 plus postage.

I read an article on a well respected Jazz magazine where these later UK pressings where compared with the earlier Fontana ones and where found in their view to sound better so I’ve been after one for a while.

I’d decided rather than spend £120+ on the new fancy AP remaster that I’d take that money and put it toward the earliest Columbia, Mono for my budget I could find and whilst looking again today came across this one.

So how did your wife react to your Mother’s Day gift of Marvin’s divorce album?

That should sound very good, I had the same issue before gifting it and getting the Blu-spec CD.

An often overlooked '76 Classic from Justin Hinds & The Dominoes - Jezebel

The brilliant and absolutely essential George Faith - To Be A Lover
Original songs and soul and pop covers of artists like Wilson Picket, William Bell, Ojays, Lee Dorsey, Paul Anka in a way in which you may never have heard before, dubbed and mutated through the hands, mind and soul of Lee Scratch Perry at the controls of the Black Ark studio.

Have been streaming a few Matthew Halsall albums recently and cherry picked this one from what is a fine bunch of cherrys to begin with.

Rag And Bone Man - Life By Misadventure.

It’s red!
Quick spin to check for warping and crackling. No warp and only a few crackles.

Sorry, bit late, but wanted to follow up.

How would this work. Just order on Bandcamp and ask in the comments?

Hi @n-lot - yes! Simple as that. I will keep an eye open…

They may be boring these days (and Bernard’s a bit embarrassing, truth be told), but goddam it, New Order/Peter Saville really know how put together a spectacular package!

Dexter Gordon - One Flight Up. I was especially looking forward to this one and I’m delighted to say it might just be the best Tone Poet release yet. Certainly it’s one of the best for sound quality. Wow!
