Blimey, we used to buy mail order from Cob Records when I was at School. Nearly 45 years ago. We had a guy at school who lived near there.
John Martyn -The Church with One Bell. So happy to have this on vinyl finally. Luckily Craft have done it very nicely and it sounds fab. My only gripe is that there’s a picture inner but no anti static inner and as usual the LP was seemingly welded to the paper of the picture inner. Still it doesn’t totally mar what is otherwise a wonderful release.
I’m going to be in Wales in the next couple of weeks, might be in the area if so will deffo pop in and mention the Naim Forum

One of the higlights of RSD 2021 - the five-LP War box set, compriding the first five post-Burdon LPs: War, The World Is A Ghetto, All Day Music, Deliver The Word and Why Can’t We Be Friends?
Nice unboxing vid from Paul at SDE here:
Just received this week, now is on the platter after a good washing.
It does sound great as you say but it’s not a flawless pressing, nothing serious that would suggest to return It.
Nice album, sounds warm and “physical”, thank you to bring it to our attention
You know you shouldn’t…
CD is made for that…
Two of my favourite Chet LP’s long out of press but now reissued on import by King Records, Japan.
A bit pricey but both these reissues together cost less than either first press on its own.
Memories is a great album indeed… I have the original Paddle Wheel release that I played countless times… I should consider the CD…
Thanks @mojo_65 I already have both CD’s which I have ripped to a hard drive but am a record collector and the chance to own these two records reissued by the legendary King Records from Japan parent of Paddle Wheel is something special.
I shouldn’t have checked your post…

But thanks anyway
Same here - if I remember correctly, they used to specialise in the ‘blues’ in the late sixties. Perhaps they advertised in the Melody Maker?
Hi Kevster,
Looks a nice set, but as ever I’m hesitant about coloured vinyl, would you kindly report back on the pressings when you’ve had time?
I was amused watching the whole video how all the different records came out the sleeves without resistance, so many I get these days come almost welded in that sometimes surgery is required
Cheers

Weekend listening sorted - US 60s classic; Nu York style and modern Brit jazz/funk (Emma Jean Thackray Yellow)
Just picked up a vinyl copy of Bill Evans ‘Behind the Dikes’.
