Kenny Dorham - Trompeta Toccata, BN80 (2020)
Equally as good as Una Mas in both sound and pressing though my other half describes Kenny’s playing as sounding like an angry wasp on this record.

Saw them last Saturday and had a nice chat with them after and kindly they signed their vinyl for me.
Shame about the hidden cost.
The recent BBC drama Life & Death In The Warehouse is a good depiction of life for the workforce at places like Amazon
(I’m repeating my reply (made on another thread) here for anyone who cares and I believe we all should)
Collected a nice selection of records from the Post Office earlier first up is
Grant Green - The Latin Bit, BN/Tone Poet (2022)
This sounds excellent even for Tone Poet standards very pleased.
The Amazing Bud Powell - Time Waits, BN/Classic Series (2022)
Fantastic Trio featuring Philly Jo Jones and Sam Jones all titles are written by Bud Powell . A very nice pressing not up to the Tone Poet above but well worth the asking price.
Milt Jackson - With John Lewis, Percy Heath, Kenny Clarke, Lou Donaldson
and the Thelonious Monk Quintet, BN/Classic Series Mono. (2022)
An excellent compilation of sorts spanning a few years featuring the members of the Modern Jazz Quartet and Thelonious Monk’s Quartet. I’d not really heard much of Milt Jackson before but have really enjoyed this record nicely pressed and remastered in Mono by KG.
Tenderlonious Ft The 22Archestra - The Shakedown, 22a (2018)
I got this a week or two back but only just listened to not much to pick between the vinyl and the stream sonically but fantastic music by some excellent young musicians including Yussef Dayes and Fergus Ireland.
Arooj Aftab - Vulture Prince (Deluxe Edition) 2xLP (2022) PRE ORDERED from Elsewhere Records.
I know that a few members liked Grammy nominated Arooj Aftab’s breakthrough record Vulture Prince and on vinyl at least it sold out very quickly and has been out of print for a year or more. There are not many details about the reissue except that it is on Verve and includes a new bonus track — ‘Udhero Na’ — featuring the uber talented sister of Norah Jones Anoushka Shankar.
Details of remastering etc are not available yet as far as I can see but if anyone can expand on the scant press releases I’m sure we would all be grateful.
Lovely chap at our local second hand shop kindly cleaned a rare classical record I’m about to put on eBay for Oxfam on his Obi One Kenobi. Least I could do was to buy something -Nerija debut EP reissue on Domino & Buddy Rich at Ronnie Scott’s on Pye/RS.
David Crosby - For Free. Another very enjoyable album from DC who is going through a purple patch late on in his career. This album has a bit of a Steely Dan vibe at times - no surprise as DF features here as well as Michael McDonald and others. Only disappointment here is the vinyl itself. It’s (appropriately) mauve in colour and seems all pressed, clean and quiet, but the sound here is a bit flat and not up to the very high standard of his previous releases. I note that there’s no etching in the dead wax for Chris Bellman, Kevin Gray et al.. and perhaps that’s the problem here. In isolation it’s perfectly fine. Very good, even. It’s just that in the basis of his previous recent albums I expected more.
Nerija - Baume, Domino (2019)
Really nice record with a slightly slowed down almost Reggae type vibe from an All Star Ensemble and great value at £10.99 from Amazon.
As I touched upon in an earlier comment regarding buying records from Amazon as promoted by some members here.
I would also highly recommend seeing the drama Life And Death In The Warehouse curently on BBC iplayer
