Which whisky are you drinking and why someone else might enjoy it?

My current portfolio.
Glenfarclas 25 tonight. The best of the lot.

Due to budgetary constraints I’m drinking Irish lately…but I like it just as much as whisky…smoother.

One of my favourites Kev, a ‘session’ whisky!

On offer at Waitrose right now!

It seems to be continuously on offer in the Co-Op :joy:
Quite fancy buying a bottle of this next. Whilst sitting round a campfire a few nights ago someone passed it around, very smooth, just a little peat, very enjoyable.

I bought some from Waitrose for very same reason - a lovely drop and utter bargain!

The Macallan 12 Year old.
I’ve been saving this for an occasion such as today.
Will be adding large ice ball from the Macallan Ice ball maker. This has a very slow melt rate and currently is my favourite way of drinking a quality malt.
Might be late start in the morning.

The “spots” are fantastic Irish whiskeys: Green, Yellow, Red, Blue and occasional special editions too…

I think this has quickly become my (easily accessible and reasonably priced) favourite whisky.

Received a mail from ‘ Hard to find whiskeys’. Re glendronach being back in stock… the Allardice 18 year old is now £180 or near enough… think my first bottle a couple of years ago was about £80, the second last year £120… they are having a laugh… mind you the 21 year old Parliament sherry cask looks interesting… anyone tried it?

A nice straightforward nightcap.
Not the classiest nor the best here in the thread, but I like it.

Would I trade my Lagavulin or Ardbeg for it? Nope, but happily I don’t need to.

I have a notable birthday coming up and feel like celebrating with a ‘nice’ whisky but not going to go too pricey (saving up for the 222 / 250 ).

All time absolute favourite so far was Ardberg 17 yr old,
Close second Lagavulin 16 yr old.

Not a great fan of Laphroaig.

Usual everyday, well not everyday, is Talisker Skye, or a Balvenie or Bowmore.

Suggestions on a postcard please.

It’s sad that Ardbeg Supernova is no longer available…a wonderful whisky.

Go for the Lagavulin. Many congratulations.

Unfortunately none of these lasted a long time!

Yes, only had this once back in March on a canoe trip on the Spey. Three of these wasn’t cheap!
Just realised this one is ‘hypernova’
