Like some of the others on here, I paid with Paypal & looks like I’ll be getting refunded for the Mono XLR Morgana’s I had on order. Rather unfortunate, would have much rather had the cables. Hopefully others will have luck getting their funds back as well.
It’s just tragic reading this now. I’ve lodged my s75 claim, I’d rather have the Spectres.
Lodged mine with Goldman. Same sentiment; I would rather have my Spectres.
S75 is part of Credit Protection Act. Not sure if/how it applies to residents outside the UK.
Hi All,
I too am still waiting patiently for PayPal to reply in the hope I recover my couple of thousand pounds from the order of Spectre cables, fingers crossed
That aside, I am now looking to replace my Kudos KS-1 cables for something with very similar characteristics to the Spectre (bit more in the bottom end) does anyone have any experience they can share with me?
The KS-1 is very good and had it a couple of years in my 500 series system but the Spectre although I never had chance to listen to fills me with a desire to try a change…
Thank you in advance folks
Neil
The EU CCD - Consumer Credit Directive - appears to contain similar protections
Linked credit agreements
25. After section 75, insert—
“Further provision for liability of creditor for breaches by supplier
75A.—(1) If the debtor under a linked credit agreement has a claim against the supplier in respect of a breach of contract the debtor may pursue that claim against the creditor where any of the conditions in subsection (2) are met.
Might be worth a seeking proper advice, as I am most certainly not a lawyer!
If you’ve never heard the Spectre, how can you know you want something like it? Some on here have tried Spectre and KS1 back to back and preferred the latter. Money doesn’t necessary but quality when it comes to cables.

You pays yer money…. It just seems odd to want something that sounds like something one hasn’t heard.
As I live out in the sticks in the Scottish Highlands, I unfortunately don’t have the luxury of dealerships I can visit within a sensible distance. I have read like most of us a fair bit of positive feedback with this particular cable and admit I was impressed by the comments of some of its users, some users not so impressed.
I purchased the KS-1 from the advice of a very well know audio consultancy and trusted them, as it happens I was indeed impressed and kept hold of them. Now that WW will not deliver I’m still in the frame of mind for a change whether permanent or temporary I’m ready to experiment once again but not having the option any longer of being able to return the Spectre cables if I were not satisfied with them I am merely asking for advice from users who have changed to another branded cable with similar characteristics which are suited to Naim Audio equipment. I do trust some of the comments/advice here, my decisions are calculated but with the risk of course.
With so many of us not getting our Spectre OCC cables what other options do we have? One Iv’e been curious about is Oyaide’s Across 3000. It’s low capacitance, 102 SSC copper (similar to PCOCC) with 3.0 sq mm conductors and a bit similar looking to NACA5. Has anyone tried it?
It looks interesting but doesn’t look anything like any NACA5 I’ve come across.
Other than A4 and K20, there isn’t much that is constructed similar to A5.
The closest I’ve come in terms of conductor thickness and diameter is Luxman JPS-100
But the construction is very different. The space between conductors gives them inductance. Se less space generally results in less inductance and more capacitance and vice versa.
Worth noting SuperLumina is also nothing at all like A5.
A slight change of tack, but how long are your KS-1s?
I’d say vdH Clearwater is of similar construction.
My Paypal payment from Feb has been refunded. Hope that those of you still waiting get the same successful outcome.
Hi
Sorry for the long delay, I’m offshore working nights…
They are a 7m pair, when and if I am successful in replacing them they will be surplus to requirements!
Luckily I got a full refund for my two outstanding Witch Hat orders.
I had an order from last September on the pre order offer for Spectre and some Morgana interconnects that I ordered on the 2023 spring offer.
Fortunately I ordered the Spectre (£1263.75) on my credit card and the interconnects (£1246.95) on my debit card and then an ETI speaker connector upgrade (£150) on my Paypal.
If I’d ordered the Spectre on my debit card I wouldn’t of got a refund as it would of been over the time period.
So £2660.70 safely back in my bank account, but like others I would of preferred the cables.
Should that happen, I will not the only interested party here.
I need something white, flexible and 7m long for the Tasmanian house.
