Your Watch & Naim

Thanks Harry! Yes, it’s light weight and the bracelet is very comfortable. Certainly one of my favourites in the collection.

And that’s the thing. Even my Daytona can be worn all day, and often is, with me hardly noticing it’s there.

I’ve had a month of police officers and busses with watches. I picked this up for a good price.

It’s just like the one I owned in the 80s (apart from being black) and reminds me with fondness how simple life used to be and how the community I worked in back then thought they had reached a technological zenith with HP programmable calculators and machine code.

I’ve had a Ciga on order for some time and had nearly forgotten about it. It appeared without warning a few days after the Casio. In titanium it’s a featherweight.

The only other blip on my watch collecting radar was some years away, or so I thought. Having gone on the list six months ago, I was at once jumping for joy and bewildered when my Rolex AD ambushed me with this, two weeks after the Ciga arrived.

The Jubilee bracelet adds to the visual bulk but it ain’t half comfortable.

Time to have a rest from collecting and just enjoy the hell out of wearing them in rotation. I will also enjoy continuing to look at the diversity of interesting things posted here.

Very nice.

Very kind thank you.

From my experience, Omega are most excellent… Fabulous service, every part returned, marked in little bags.

Went to pick up my wife’s Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra today from being serviced. (Three and a half months). I spent a little time looking at the men’s Tudor watches. I really had to tear myself away. Maybe, just maybe. Particularly liked the BB 58. Interest free credit on offer as well.

I never get used to the hands but it does look nice. :+1:
Personally, I’m not sure credit and unimportant stuff like watches & audio are a great match in the same sentence. :grinning:

For a service? :grimacing:

Edit.:probably a reflection of the number of customers (or is it a lack of resources?)

(I’m not used to so much time for a )

Yes, waiting for parts from Switzerland apparently, and, he said, back in the workshop a couple of times. Presumably to adjust speed. She has had it about 11 years, it has been back to Omega three times now, once for no charge. It’s a beautiful object but it has been a bit problematic. We shall see how it goes.

Strange: my first gen coaxial (similar to your wife’s ) is based on Eta 2892-a2
It takes max 1h30 to service. Regulating is easy to. I have two of them.

( both pictures on the thread : Deville/ Seamaster)

Never had any problems. And the parts are not dificult to find…

Sorry for the experience

If that’s your wrist, the 58 looks too small to me. I’ve just sold mine; I got bored with it for some reason and it just sat in the winder.

No, not my wrist. I have a fairly small wrist, so for me it is a 36 or 38mm. Did it keep time when you had it?

I bought two watches I am expecting today. A budget Timex I will receive later today, and this Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 automatic. It is my first ever Swiss watch! There was a pretty good discount on Amazon Canada, so I took the plunge.
