Oh no! If it hasn’t been sent off yet, please try putting it in a plastic bag of uncooked rice and get as much air out as poss before sealing.

Thanks Chris. I was thinking along similar lines myself. I’ll give that a try. It can’t hurt and the earlier I get the moisture out the less the damage later I guess.

It’s a cracking watch and your father clearly had exceptional taste , but there are some nice mechanical watches at non-silly prices, especially Seiko Prospex

I’d agree with not selling it. It may be worth getting it valued for insurance purposes though if you haven’t already.
