Your Watch & Naim

That looks like it has a black dial and a green bezel.

Well worth hunting down

Bart this the hulk, just that the lighting in the room makes the dial look darker than it is.

Yeah itā€™s impossible to see the dial being green from this side of the pond!

Love the U1, especially on the bracelet.

One of my sell regrets :frowning:

NEED one.

The strap is a Hirsch extra long, I put most of my watches on them. Different styles available and they have a superb quick fit/release system for changing them out. I struggle to find steel bracelets to fit as I have 220mm wrist.
The watch is overengineering at itā€™s best. My bathtub is nowhere near 1000metres deep. Still, one day perhaps.

Iā€™ve finally received the strap I ordered from the Strap Tailor a while ago. Itā€™s a bespoke one in French Green leather. Iā€™m really pleased with it and think it matches the green dial watch well, without being too green.

I have a few not very expensive watches but still reasonable quality here are two just adverts though if I remember Iā€™ll dig them out for a proper picture.

@anon4489532 Did you ever get your misbehaving watch back from repair? (Every chance I could have missed this news further up the thread, but I donā€™t recall seeing the outcome.)

Yes, I got it back after its journey back to Switzerland. Apparently it hadnā€™t been regulated properly. When it returned it somehow seemed less appealing, so I traded it against the IWC in the picture above.

3 months on the wait list, got a call from AD yesterday that the new Seamaster has arrived.

Very happy with the watch. The green is actually very similar to the British racing green, almost black in the shade but turns into a more vibrant olive green under the sun.

Ouch.

Sounds about standard, Iā€™m afraid. My Speedmaster is due for a service, but Iā€™m going to push it as late as I dare. Its last service cost under Ā£500, but thereā€™s no way itā€™s not going to be at least 25% more than that now.

Update on this as I just got the quote for service/repair.
The total invoice will be Ā£965 - a chunk of change, but I must say I was braced for worse as thereā€™s a lot of work neededā€¦

Complete Service
Replacement of the hands
Replacement of the dial
Replacement of the casing ring
Replacement of inner back
Polishing service
Replacement of the sapphire glass

I once sent mine for a service, a few years ago.

When it came back I was told it was in perfect condition and didnā€™t need a service.

I didnā€™t have to pay anything, not even the shipping costs! Not what I expected

Edit
This is my previous system. I no longer have it.
