Long-gone, once-had or childhood system pics

My wife as diagnosed with terminal cancer. The system was my escape from the black pit of dispair we were in. When she passed, the system was a reminder of that time and I felt i needed to move it on so that I could move on with my life. I lke Naim and still do, but sadly the boxes carry too many memories for me. That is why I have returned to music with a Rega/Linn system and not an LP12/Naim one.

Brad, I apologise for the thoughtlessness of my previous question. Nothing can replace the loss of a loved one but I do hope that the future now looks a bit brighter for you.

There was of course the 3004 cassette deck, which was I imagine Tandberg’s answer to the Nakamichi 700 & 1000;

Vic, not at all. Please don’t apologise. I found another wonderful woman and we will have been married for 5 years in July. I am in a

good place. Indeed I am typing this in the car park of the lighthouse at the Cape of Good Hope. We have just started a three week holiday in South Africa.

:small_blue_diamond:Tube Technology,…this I had a little while around 1995,it is not my in the picture.
My had more gold on screws etc.
It reminds a little about Harley Davidson motorcycles :grin:.

/Peder🙂

:small_blue_diamond:Brad…I have unfortunately made the same “trip” as you.
My wife also went away in cancer,after that I did not use my music-system in five years.I totally lost interest.
This was 2005,…but as for you,…now life is brightening again.

…or anybody else,…Have I misunderstood.??

Can you not put pictures in this thread,on things you had a long time ago.?

/Peder🙂

Peder, I think IB was responding to Yeti.

:small_blue_diamond:Richard,…Ok,Thanks…:+1:t2::grin:.

:small_blue_diamond:I’ll take another one at once,…this below is a speaker-system that I had a shorter period around 1980,if I remember correctly.

It is the French manufacturer 3A’s subwoofer-table with speakers.

8006462
3A Subwoofer-table with built-in amplifier.

8650054
3A speaker to 3A subwoofer-table.

:black_small_square:I never got this to play as I wanted,my knowledge of system-installation was almost zero at the time.
So it was probably due to me,…not on this 3A-system,that it did not play well in my home.

Sorry Peder, yes, the pics ran so close together on my phone screen that I thought they were all yours. Indeed as Richard surmises my post related to @Yeti’s post just before yours.

Yes, I’d meant to put this in the how it looks thread, any chance of moving it Richard?

Yeti, I’ve moved it for you.

Peder-
That is the type of equipment I expected to see more of. I haven’t even found any pictures of the very early vac amps but they were black and gold with nice tubes showing. I think it was vac pa 90/100

Hi, very nice amp indeed. I did not own it unfortunately but at the time I had an excellent listening session at a dealer with the Unisis and a pair of Ruark Templar, very nice set up :yum:

It took me awhile to google (and also remember), but I don’t think the 3004 was around for long. The 3014 is/ was more familiar and was a " dragon killer" and at the end of tandberg life their was a 3034 Malaysian(?) built machine.

:small_blue_diamond:I saw this picture posted in a Naim-group on Facebook,…I thought I should show it here too.

:black_small_square:Anyone here who remembers this bag/cloth-bag.?

/Peder🙂
