A frequently asked question is about the NAC82 and the NAC282, specifically which parts of the pre-amp are powered by which part of each power supply when two power supplies are used.
Here is the definitive answer from Naim’s R&D dept.
NAC82:
PS1 socket powers the left channel: phono stage, 729 input filter stage and tape buffer off one regulator, gain stage off the other regulator
PS2 socket powers the right channel: phono stage, 729 input filter stage and tape buffer off one regulator, gain stage off the other regulator
NAC282:
Upgrade 1 socket powers the left channel: 729 input filter stage and tape buffer off one regulator. This regulator also powers one side of the aux2 output (for the right channel of a stageline), gain stage off the other regulator
Upgrade 2 socket powers the right channel: 729 input filter stage and tape buffer off one regulator. This regulator also powers the other side of the aux2 output (for the left channel of a stageline), gain stage off the other regulator
