Time for a change?

Thanks Nigel, I have an old Audioworks block for now until the system settles down. When it has I will look for a more suitable block and power cables.

Obviously, I will be reporting back when the kits back, I am expecting good things

A good friend of mine is recommending the Musicworks Reflex power block is this a good recommendation?

Yes i have had the G3 and now the G4. I am sure Alistair at Signals would send you one for demo purposes.

Thanks Gaza, I will investigate. I am also interested in the Titan range of blocks and chords. However, I am still waiting for some of the kit to turn up from Salisbury. Peter has most of it back but the 500 and 555 head units are still with Naim.

I also have the G3 with the sparkly bottom upgrade - don’t ask, Alastair will explain. It is very good with a noticeable uplift in SQ.

Well, what a f***king mess, my 500 is stuck in Salisbury there are no parts to do the 500 DR. I can have my kit back but without a 500DR. Which is the bit of kit I wanted DRing most of all.
If the 500 comes back in serviced and as standard it has to go back at a later date which means more disruption in our household.
Considering we have been without any system for so long now, I am seriously unhappy!

You can’t make it up can you extremely poor indeed.

Ouch ! :open_mouth:

Hard to believe Naim took your 500 knowing they didn’t have the parts in stock to complete the job, things appear to be slacking at HQ.

One would think that parts availability would be checked before accepting to do the service and upgrade.

Especially when this has been planned specifically for the right time. We have spent a fortune setting up a new music room and getting it ready for the system to return.

Sorry to hear Nigel. I guess it’s the times we’re in right now.

I’m aware that certain parts for DR are and have been in extremely short supply of late, and what you think you’re getting you may find you don’t receive, or doesn’t make the grade, which makes forward planning difficult, so I think it’s currently not at all easy for either Naim or Naim’s loyal customers.

This is where having a little NAP110 stashed away for just such times comes in handy…

Very irritating, Nigel.

Any chance your dealer could lend you a 300DR, or even a 250DR so at least you can have some choons while you wait?

I slummed it with a 250DR fed by a 552 and it ain’t too bad to get you by.

Sounds like a good idea at least PB 552DR will be running in and the choons will be playing.

Not a bad idea but I think Naim should send me a brand new one on replacement for the inconvenience :joy::joy:

Good luck with that - I hear there is a waiting list!

Is this a Monty Python sketch with a waiting list for a waiting list :joy::joy:

Yes, with no ETA either which is even more disappointing :relieved:

Let’s not forget this must be equally frustrating for Naim, who will not get paid until new kit and serviced/DR’d kit is delivered, much of which is awaiting very few parts for completion.

Maybe…….it’s now a faceless organisation, at least Charlie Henderson and others before him were willing to stand up and be counted?
